  • NEPAL NEWS (CLOSING OF MISSION X)

    On 9th Dec 2016, the kids of Radha Krishna Organisation (RKO) and students of Joseph High School (JHS) organised the closing program of Misssion X.
    All the committee member of RKO and of JHS were present and Inspector General of Police (Nepal) was called for chief guest of the program. All the students were fully dedicated for the program. Science exhibition was also organised including (water rocket, mechanical car, grass cutter, wind mill, etc.) The exhibition was awesome. Scout team showed their activity in a impressing way. Finally the team leaders of Mission X were given an appreciation certificate from the School's side.

    This was our first program of Mission X in coordination of RKO, JHS and Mission X team. We are expecting to organize such a program in continuous way and are hoping to get this opportunity from Mission X.

  • NEPAL NEWS

    On 23rd Oct 2016, we did a task of mission x ‘Space Roll n Roll’. We did this task at Joseph High School. We used mat and chairs to carry out this task.
    We did somersault over the mat touching the hula-hoop. We did somersault from a vertical head down position. We stood upside down with our feet on the wall. We put our hands very close to the wall and stand in a vertical position facing the wall and we let our shoulder touch the floor and did the somersault. Finally we collected the mission data and completed the mission.

    On 15th Nov 2016, we did a task of mission x ‘Do a space walk’. We did this task on the field of Joseph High School.
    We completed a 6m relay with other classmates. We traveled the measured distance doing the crab walk. We returned to the starting place doing the bear crawl and repeated for three times. We measured the distance for the student ahead of time or had the student’s measure out the course ourselves, increased the above acceleration by completing an 18 m relay. We did this acceleration covering the area of 30 meters. We continued the above acceleration. Finally we collected the data and end the task.

    On 2nd Dec 2016, we did the task of mission x ‘get on your space Cycle’. We did this task with the students of Joseph high School. We about 13 students brought our cycle to the school to perform this activity. It was quite difficult to ride the cycle for 7 days in such an environment and on the road of Kathmandu valley. So we did this task for one day. We had a ride of about 3 kilometers.
    We checked our heart beat rate before and after the riding and we found different rates between these. From this activity we came to know that how could we perform a physical activity that will strengthen our leg muscles, cardiovascular system and contribute to a less polluted evnironment.

    On 20th nov of 2016, we did the task of Mission X ‘Explore and discover’. For this, first we were divided into five groups each of three students.
    In a large defined area we searched for five hidden mission samples. We tried to find and return five objects to our Base Station in two minutes. We checked our heart rate before and after the exploration. Each group tried to find a specified amount of mission samples in a given amount of time. These mission samples had a combined weight of about 7 kg.
    From this activity we found different heart rate between before and after the exploration.

    On 28th Nov 2016, we did a task of mission x ‘Base Station Walk Back’. We carried out this activity on the field of Joseph high School. We marked the line with the flour at about a distance of 30 meters. We didn’t have a enough space so we adjusted within a small area.
    For this, we sprinted 100 m (110 yards) then walk 100 m (110 yards) and repeated this four times making several loops. We sprinted 13 m (42 ft) touching the floor with the hand and reversed immediately to where we started and touch the floor. We did this for two times. We repeated the above intervals, at last we increased the distance by doing the intervals four times instead of two.
    Finally we collected data and completed the task.

    On 20th Oct 2016, we did the task of mission x ‘Hydration station’. For this activity we distributed the hydration station data sheet among us and took to respective home. We recorded the mission data for 24 hours and gathered the data sheet on next day.
    We didn’t have food coloring so we used shine pen color with water. We did it as like as mission x video and compared the color between our mission data.
    Finally we collected mission data. From this we knew that we should be hydrated any time.

    On 8th Nov 2016, we did one of the interesting task of mission x ‘Living bones strong Bone’. We did the following steps while carrying out this task:

    1) First we studied the index card. Discussed the shape, size, and thickness of bones. Decided how we would like to design our group bone model from the index card. Designed a bone model making sure our bone model is: made much like the chicken bone, and study enough to hold weight.

    2) Completed our individual bone model design drawing on our own piece of graph paper.

    3) Labeled the materials in our design on your graph paper.

    Olá!!! Foi realizada a entrega dos certificados para parte dos estudantes que participaram do projeto e puderam comparecer na cerimônia.
