Quem que vir jogar à macaca?

Living Bones

Hello everyone.
We had not shown you pictures of our model of the bones, held in the activity Living Bones, Strong Bones, here they are with our best results:

REDUCED GRAVITY, LOW-FAT- Escolher comida saudável... uma decisão obrigatória!

REDUCED GRAVITY, LOW-FAT

Concluímos a actividade REDUCED GRAVITY, LOW-FAT.

Vamos descobrir.

Hello all
The last one was great wek!

We had conclude the activity REDUCED GRAVITY, LOW-FAT.

While performing this activity we added another factor.
We decided to compare the fat contained in a fast food menu, like Mac Donald, with a fat content of school lunch.

Cambridge Calls For Charlie

Astro Charlie checks out Cambridge

Astro Charlie has been checking out Cambridge in advance of the London Mission X 2012 celebrations.

Astro Charlie Gets In the Zone

Getinthezone

Astro Charlie checked out the Get in the Zone roadshow at Big Bang and sprinted as part of the sports science experience. Get in the Zone is inspired by the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games. It provides free science investigations about the science of the human body. The touring exhibition encourages young people to explore the body and mind in motion. Astr Charlie enjoyed visiting it. www.getinthezone.org.uk

Astro Charlie Gets Fitness Checks from Institute of Physics and Engineering Medicine

Checking for radiation

Astro Charlie had a second detailed fitness check as he was tested for radiation levels and had his blood pressure monitored by medical physicists. Specialists have said that he is looking in good shape! All the exercise and nutrition and specialist care is paying off. The Institute is keen to raise awareness of careers in medical physics and biomedical engineering www.ipem.ac.uk

Astro Charlie Gets Fitness Checks at the Big Bang Fair

Classroom Medics

Astro Charlie has been receiving a number of health checks during his visit in Birmingham. Medical staff from Classroom Medics gave Charlie a thorough health check at their stand at Big Bang. Charlie looks to be in very good health. Classroom medics have been helping UK students understand some of the science behind medical careers. www.classrommedics.co.uk

Astro Charlie meets Langton Boys and find out about their cool app for monitoring radiation

Simon Langton School

Astro Charlie had a chance to meet up with Becky Parker and her students from Simon Langton School in Kent. Students in Kent are going to take part in the Mission X challenge activities in the summer term - they have been busy this term competing in science competitions and visiting CERN in Switzerland.

Mission X Ends with a Big Bang for Mountfitchet Mathematics and Computing College and Cumberland College

Cumberland School

The Big Bang in Birmingham was the setting for the final day of Mission X in the UK. Students had a chance to have a go at lots of science activities, experienced the We are Astronomers show and met staff from the UK Space Agenc and Kings College London. Students even had a chance to take part in the agility course but with specialist headgear that simulated the disorientation astronauts would feel in space.
