    My class

    I’ve been enjoying doing Mission X and love the activities such as space shuttle and drama show. I try to eat lots of fruit and vegetables to keep healthy and take part in different sports. Swimming is a really good sport because it works your arms, legs and chest.

    I have been enjoying Mission X. So far my favourite activity was the satellite move; this involves using an exercise ball and moving it around without touching the ball with your hands.

    I enjoyed going on the exercise bikes. I'm used to pedalling for a long time because I do BMX racing. The exercise bikes are really easy to pedal on.
    I really enjoyed going to MMCC. I thought it was a massive experience because I learnt lots.

    So far we have been doing loads and loads of activities and one of them is making your own Mission X patches, this one is my favourite one. We had to design the patches first and then coloured them in. Next we had to get a plain, white material and copy our patch design on to the material.

    I really enjoyed the Mission X Launch Day. I loved the satellite activity because it was fun and a hard challenge. I have found Mission X really fun but I think the satellite activity is the best. It was a huge hall where we worked so we had a lot of space. I really liked all the activities.

    Why should you keep fit? You should keep fit because otherwise you will get overweight and unhealthy. So far I am enjoying Mission X. I love the activities that we have been doing. I am in year five and I am also excited to meet other primary schools. My favourite activity so far has been the satellite activity. It was challenging and fun at the same time.

    Every Friday we do a Mission X challenge. So far we have done it all with a partner from one of our groups who are called The Galloping Golden Apples, MX Sprinters and The Darting Dynamites! At the moment we keep looking at our pulse before and after the activities.

    Year 5 with Astro Charlie

    I really enjoyed making my Mission X patch at school. We saw a real space badge that was used for a mission. We made a logo which is used to explain our group names. My group is called Darting Dynamites. We also put our surname, name of our school and Mission X 2013 on it. Before we made our design on material we made our design on paper twice.

  • Healthy Eating and Exercise

    Mission X exercise

    To keep healthy you should eat some carbohydrates like biscuits, corn flakes, bread, pasta, rice and potatoes. To keep healthy you should also eat fruit and vegetables like peas, sweet corn, banana, broccoli, cucumber and pineapple. You should try not to eat too many fats and sugars like sweets, cakes, chocolate.

  • Astronautmat, også bra mat for oss!

    Fredag før vinterferien hadde klassen astronautmat på programmet. Astronauter må være svært nøye med kostholdet. Det må være variert og balansert, slik at kroppen får de næringsstoffene den trenger. Tortillas brukes mye ”out in space”. Vi skulle derfor lage tortillas med to ulike sorter fyll.
    Drikke inntas med sugerør. Vi skal lage smoothie, som sikrer inntak av mange viktige vitaminer og mineraler på en gang. Nedenfor er læringsmålene for denne økta:
    o Ha kunnskaper om hva som er ernæringsmessig godt kosthold for astronauter og elever på Reipå skole.
    o Lage oversikt over eget kosthold, kunne begrunne om dette ivaretar kroppens behov for ernæring.
    o Kunne følge oppskrift.
    o Kunne arbeide med praktiske matlagingsaktiviteter på skolekjøkkenet.

    Vi kan herved bekrefte at astronautmat kan være næringsrik og samtidig smake godt!

    When, after snow and rain, a faint sun welcome us, we take the bikes of our school and, one after another, round by round, we completed this activity! We have so much fun!

    Hello. I'm Nicol Julieth Morales Chala, I am nine yerars old. I study in I.E.M.T.E. Cartagena school.
    I like X Mission because it help me improve my body. For example, the first activity help me to improve the force of the abdomen muscles and the back; the second activity helps to improve the force of lungs, heart and other muscles.

    Hola. Mi nombre es Nicol Julieth Morales Chala. Tengo 9 años. Estudio en la I.E.M.T.E.Cartagena. Me gusta Misión X porque me ayuda a mejorar mi cuerpo. Por ejemplo, la primera actividad me ayudó a mejorar la fuerza de los músculos del abdomen y la espalda. La segunda actividad ayudó a mejorar la fuerza de los pulmones, corazón y otros músculos.
