  • Here Come The Teams

    Team UK comprises of two teams from MMCC, two from Grove and one team each from St. Mary's, Elsenham, Henham and Ugley, Bentfield, and Birchanger. I'll leave it to you to introduce yourselves and your mission name! See the pictures of each our teams with Flat Charlie.

  • Mountfitchet Mathematics and Computing College gives Mission X the heads up

    Mountfitchet Mathematics and Computing College led our Mission X day on Friday January 14th. We're looking forward to working out the points scored as students from all seven teams completed 5 different Mission X activities. Keep an eye out for pictures of the UK teams with their mascots.

  • Astronaut and Flat Charlie support Mission X

    Astronaut Dr Piers Sellers OBE with Mission X Mascot, Flat Charlie

    Astronaut Dr. Piers Sellers OBE met Flat Charlie during his recent visit to the UK. He was keen to pass this message on to all Mission Xers in the UK and beyond:

    "Some of you young people will go into space. And someone alive on Earth today will walk on Mars. It could be you. So get ready. Train like an astronaut."

  • Successful Launch for Mission X in the UK

    207 students are beginning to get Fit For Space as part of Mission X in the UK. Students had a fabulous day of exciting science,nutrition and exercise activities in the presence of Flat Charlie. Watch this space for more about the day and our astronaut supporters.

  • Mission X Ready for UK Launch

    Schools in the UK are preparing for the launch of Mission X in the UK on January 14th. Mountfitchet Maths and Computing College is the lead school and will be hosting 270 Mission Xers on an activity packed day. Students are aged between 8 and 11 years old and are from the following schools: Mountfitchet Maths and Computing College, St. Mary's Primary School, Elsenham Primary School, Henham and Ugley Primary School, Birchanger Primary School, Bentfield Primary School from Essex. Grove Primary School from Redbridge, East London is also taking part. Schools from Yorkshire, Cornwall and East London are also getting involved in Mission X type activities - although not directly part of the pilot!
