Meet the Walk to the Moon Crew

The average distance from Earth to the Moon is 384,400 km. If you walked non-stop, it would take about 9 years to reach the Moon! That’s a long journey, which is why we need to work together to make this mission success.

Meet Luna and Leo, your Mission X crewmates! They will guide you through exciting challenges, share helpful tips, and cheer you on every step of the way. Together, we will help Luna and Leo complete the mission, because every challenge we complete as a team, brings us one step closer to the Moon!

Students from around the world are joining forces to help the Mission X mascots reach the Moon. By completing activities and earning steps, teams contribute to this global adventure and help move the mission forward!

Explore the progress of the challenge by tracking the total kilometres walked by all teams, following each country’s progress, and discovering the locations of participating teams on the global map.
