Durant leur entrainement, les astronautes doivent se préparer pour leurs missions en dehors de la station spatiale internationale. Ces sorties extravéhiculaires durent plusieurs heures durant lequelles les astronautes doivent réaliser des opérations de maintenance en impesanteur et avec une combinaison spatiale très encombrante. Afin de simuler au mieux ces conditions, les entrainements se déroulent dans des piscines afin de recréer la possibilité de déplacement en 3D comme autour de la station spatiale internationale.
Au cours de cette mission, les jeunes astronautes vont ainsi s’entrainer dans une piscine pour apprendre à se mouvoir dans un nouvel environnement en 3 dimensions.
Coordination, Endurance, Conscience Spatiale
- Découvrir le milieu aquatique et sa profondeur.
- Découvrir de nouvelles modalités de déplacement liées à l’environnement aquatique.
- Collaborer pour réaliser une traversée de la piscine.
- Piscine avec des lignes d’eau et des cordes•
- Matériel de piscine : tapis, frites…
