Physical training is part of the daily routine for astronauts aboard the space station, just as it is for Paralympic athletes. Since astronauts and parastronauts experience weightlessness in the station, they must exercise for at least 2 hours and 30 minutes per day to prevent muscle atrophy. They also undergo extensive physical and mental preparation before launching to the station.
Today, you will take part in a simulation where you must navigate through the space station as quickly as possible to repair a technical issue – all while putting yourself in the shoes of a parastronaut.
